On 19th June, 2026, the Vice Chancellor of Bomet University, Prof. Charles Mutai, led a delegation from the University to the National Productivity and Performance Conference 2026 held at the Kenya School of Government, Nairobi.

During the conference, Bomet University was honored with the 1st Runner-Up Award in the University Wage Bill Category at the National Productivity and Performance Awards 2026, in recognition of its exemplary wage bill management and prudent utilization of public resources.
