The University Registrar Academic and Student Affairs office plays a critical role in the realization of the core mandate of the University. The Office of Registrar, Academic Affairs, provides leadership and strategic direction in matters relating to the activities undertaken within the Academic and Student Affairs division, which include admission and registration of students, examination process management, maintenance of students’ records, programs and training services, and provision of secretarial services to the Committee of Deans, Senate, and its subcommittees. These activities are managed and facilitated in the following four (4) departments under the supervision of the Registrar Academic Affairs: Admissions and Students’ Registry Department, Examinations Department, Programmes and Training Department, and Senate Secretariat Department. The University offers a wide range of competitive academic Programs under the Government-sponsored student program (GSSP) and privately sponsored student programs (PSSP). In addition, we provide coordination of ceremonial functions and secretarial support to the Senate and its standing committees. We provide extensive information both online and physically at the respective desks in the university. We have social media accounts on Facebook and X, and we welcome your queries and comments on these sites. The office of the Registrar, Academic Affairs, invites all qualified individuals to browse this site for relevant academic programs ranging from certificate courses to postgraduate degrees in various academic disciplines: https://www.bu.ac.ke/index.php/student-downloads . The government-sponsored students are admitted through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services (KUCCPS), while the privately sponsored students apply directly to the university college for admission.
